From web2 to web3 marketing
My Web3 journey as a marketer: from Google's early days to Crypto and NFTs
I've been in the marketing game since the mid-2000s, when my university's digital marketing class wasn't even mentioning Google but instead, Altavista, which was later acquired by Yahoo!
Throughout my career, I've learned that what's true today is likely to change tomorrow, or in a less drastic way, what works today won't work in the same way tomorrow. To stay ahead in the game, there are two things I've come to see as crucial for any marketer (and in life in general):
1) Be happy to be proven wrong (this is a difficult one)
2) Learn something new every day (and this is even more difficult)ย
Now coming to Web3.
I got my first taste of Crypto and web3 in 2017, but it wasn't the right time for me to fully dive in. Fast forward to October 2021, I finally had the chance to get more familiar with what my friends kept talking about: NFTs.
I minted my first NFT in October 2021, joined amazing communities since then and I am now also working as Head of Committee for a web3 project while tweeting about web3, marketing and new opportunities in general (how not to mention AI).
My journey in the space is ongoing and I want to document as much of it as possible to share my learnings and hopefully help others onboarding on their own web3 journey.
